The state of game design, etc

Brian Moriarty, creator of (among other things) Wishbringer and Loom:

"In the old days, when people asked me what they should study to become a game designer, I suggested literature, art and/or programming. Today, I recommend an undergraduate degree in professional management, followed by an MBA."

Sad.

Read the rest of the interview -- it contains some good stuff. For example, Loom was supposed to be the first part of a trilogy, but the other parts never saw the light. Or, find out who was responsible for the scene where Bishop Mandible is killed by Chaos (which is obvious in retrospect, really :-)).

(A fan-made sequel to Loom is under development, by the way... it's called Chaos. Not too much is known about it at this point.)
