There's always a debate in Canada over health care - we have a universal system; your mother in law would have received care for a few dollars a day, if any cost.

I still think we spend too much on health care but also believe universal health care must be protected... I would just like to see more focus on health not just health care, if you know what I mean.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is always hard to lose a parent, but this is much worse than 'normal'.
