Gravatar I haven't read the books in about 15 years... But as far as I remember, Jadis and the White Witch are one and the same. And Wikipedia seems to confirm this.


Gravatar Unlike Harry Potter, the Narnia books aren't that closely tied to each other, so I don't think it will be so hard. Chronology changes a lot, and there's different main characters. Of course, the seventh book doesn't happen that long after the first, so I assume they'll need new actors then. The seventh book is also sick, much like the last book of the bible, but maybe that's just me.

Personally I wouldn't recommend rereading those books; they are better to remember fondly than to reexperience. But it depends on what you expect to get out of them. Perhaps Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials -- which was a kind of reaction to Narnia -- made me look at the Narnia books differently (I reread Narnia after HDM).
