One of the drawbacks of moving is that if you have a sizeable Zoids collection, you'll end up disassembling them all so they won't break during the move.
One of benefits of moving is that if you have a sizeable Zoids collection, you get to rebuild all those Zoids, and building them is most of the fun anyway.
This was a good opportunity to make some changes. A few years ago I got Hasbro's Pteramander, mostly for nostalgic reasons -- it's largely the same as the OER Krark which I got in 1986, except for the colors. So building it was the same, but boy is the new color scheme ugly!
So I went to Hobby Town USA and got some silver and "italian red" spray paint. The result is a Zoid that looks much like Krark:
(Note/1: This is my first custom Zoid paint job, which is generally regarded by Zoidfans as a change in the way one sees Zoids. I'm not ready yet for "darthing", i.e., customizing Zoids with parts from other Zoids, or building entirely new Zoids.)
(Note/2: They really should sell Zoids at Hobby Town... they would fit right in.)
